The Good News for Kids! Learn How Jesus Can Rescue You From Sin and Hell!

Do You Know Who Jesus Is?

Jesus is the Son of God. The Bible tells us this in John 20:21: “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing, ye might have life through His name.” In fact, the Bible tells us everything we need to know about Jesus, God, His love, Heaven, Hell, and how to live for Him once we have faith in Him. Jesus is not only the Son of God, He is God. John 10:30 in the Bible says, “I and My Father are One.”

Jesus lived many centuries ago, as He came to be born of the virgin Mary to be the Savior of the world to save people from their sins. We see this in Matthew 1:18 and 21: “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: when as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins.”

It Is Awesome That Jesus Was Perfect!

Just look around and you will soon realize that no one is perfect, not even you! The Lord Jesus Christ taught people the truth according to His Father’s will. In the Bible, Matthew 9:35 explains this: “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the Kingdom.”

Jesus also lived perfectly according to the Father’s will. This is explained in John 6:38: “For I came down from Heaven, not to do Mine Own will, but the will of Him that sent Me.” Because Jesus is perfect, He is the true example of how God wants us to be.

We Have a Problem–We Are Not Perfect!

The problem that we have is that we are not perfect. We cannot please God in our own efforts, because we do wrong things. Romans 8:7-8: “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they are in the flesh cannot please God.”

Those wrong things that we do are called sins. God is very disappointed when we sin, and this truly makes Him sad. Romans 3: 23: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Because God and Jesus are perfect, they must punish people for their sins in Hell. Matthew 10:28 states: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.”

But Jesus Can Rescue Us If We Believe in Him!

All people are on their way to Hell, because they sin. Revelation 20:15 says, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Sins (also called iniquities) separate us from God. The Bible explains this in Isaiah 59:2: “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.”

However, Jesus does not want you to go to Hell. God the Father does not want you to go to Hell either, and God the Holy Spirit does not want you to go to Hell. 2 Peter 3:9 explains this fact: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” That is the reason why God the Father sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Romans 5:8 clearly tells us this: “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Then the Lord Jesus Christ rose again on the third day, which means He conquered death, Hell, and sin. Jesus gained victory over sin, Hell, and death. The Bible indicates this truth in 1 Peter 1:3: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

You do not need to be separated from God if you believe that Jesus died for your sins, that He can forgive you, and that He rose again from the dead (came back to life) to give you everlasting life with Him in Heaven! John 3:16: “For God so loved the world , that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” You can live with Him in Heaven forever with no more worries of torment in Hell. He rescues all people from Hell who believe in Him and repent of their sins. To repent of your sins means to ask God to forgive you and to realize that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Matthew 3:2: “Repent ye, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

What Is Next?

The Holy Spirit of God will live inside of you and guide you to do what is right, so that you will grow in your faith and new life in Christ as you surrender to God and follow Him. John 14:6: “But when the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

God wants you to pray to Him, to read the Bible, to learn about Him, and to tell others about Him. God wants you to go to a good church that teaches Bible truth. God wants you to make right decisions and to refrain from doing what the devil and others tempt you to do. God wants you to love Him and follow the ways of Jesus. Someday, Jesus will then take you to His blissful, happy Heaven to be with Him forever.
